Reviewer Guidelines
La Escula Abdiku relies on qualified and independent reviewers to maintain the academic quality and integrity of published articles. Reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, and confidentially.
Before accepting an invitation to review, reviewers should consider whether the manuscript falls within their area of expertise and whether they can complete the review within the required timeframe. Reviewers should decline the invitation if they have a conflict of interest with the authors, their institutions, or the research being evaluated.
Reviewers should treat all manuscripts received for review as confidential documents. Manuscripts and their contents must not be shared, copied, discussed, or used for personal or professional purposes without authorization from the Editor.
In evaluating a manuscript, reviewers should consider the following aspects:
1. Relevance and Scope
Assess whether the manuscript is relevant to the focus and scope of La Escula Abdiku.
2. Originality
Evaluate the originality and novelty of the manuscript and identify any substantial similarity with previously published works.
3. Academic and Scientific Quality
Assess the clarity of the research objectives, theoretical foundation, methodology, analysis, interpretation of findings, and conclusions.
4. Methodology
Evaluate whether the research methods are appropriate, clearly described, and sufficiently rigorous to support the findings and conclusions.
5. Results and Discussion
Assess whether the results are presented clearly and whether the discussion adequately interprets the findings and relates them to relevant theories and previous studies.
6. References
Evaluate the relevance, adequacy, and accuracy of the references and identify important sources that may have been omitted.
7. Ethical Considerations
Review whether the manuscript complies with relevant research ethics and publication ethics requirements.
8. Clarity and Presentation
Assess the organization, clarity, readability, language, tables, figures, and overall presentation of the manuscript.
Reviewers should provide constructive and specific comments that can help authors improve their manuscripts. Personal criticism of authors is not appropriate.
Reviewers should clearly state their recommendation to the Editor based on their evaluation. The recommendation may include:
- Accept Submission
- Accept Submission with Minor Revisions
- Revise and Resubmit
- Reject Submission
The final editorial decision remains the responsibility of the Editor. Reviewers' recommendations are considered an important part of the editorial decision-making process but do not determine the final decision.
Reviewers must disclose any potential conflict of interest and should not use confidential information obtained during the review process for personal or professional advantage.
By accepting a review assignment, reviewers agree to uphold the principles of confidentiality, objectivity, academic integrity, and ethical conduct throughout the peer-review process.
