AI Policy

La Escula Abdiku recognizes the growing use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in academic research and scholarly publishing. The journal supports the responsible and ethical use of AI while maintaining academic integrity, transparency, originality, and accountability.

Authors may use AI-assisted tools for purposes such as language improvement, grammar correction, translation, formatting, or other limited forms of editorial assistance. However, the use of AI tools must not replace the authors' intellectual contribution, critical analysis, research design, interpretation of findings, or academic judgment.

Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical compliance of their manuscripts, including any content produced or assisted by AI tools.

AI tools, including generative AI systems, must not be listed as authors or co-authors because they cannot assume responsibility for the content, integrity, or accountability of a published article.

If generative AI or AI-assisted technologies are used substantially in the preparation of a manuscript, authors should disclose the use of such tools appropriately in the manuscript. The disclosure should include the name of the AI tool and a brief explanation of how it was used.

Authors must carefully verify all information, references, quotations, data, and other content generated or assisted by AI tools. AI-generated content may contain inaccurate, fabricated, or misleading information, and authors remain responsible for identifying and correcting such errors.

Reviewers and editors must not upload or disclose confidential or unpublished manuscript content to publicly accessible generative AI tools or other AI systems that may compromise the confidentiality of the peer-review and editorial process.

The use of AI tools for plagiarism, fabrication or falsification of data, manipulation of research results, creation of fraudulent references, or other forms of academic misconduct is strictly prohibited.

La Escula Abdiku reserves the right to request clarification regarding the use of AI tools and to take appropriate action if their use is found to violate the journal's ethical standards or publication policies.
