Plagiarism Screening

Manuscripts submitted to La Escula Abdiku will be screened for plagiarism using Turnitin, a plagiarism detection tool, before proceeding to the peer-review process.

La Escula Abdiku is committed to maintaining high standards of academic integrity and takes plagiarism and self-plagiarism very seriously. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct may be rejected immediately.

The maximum similarity index permitted for manuscripts submitted to La Escula Abdiku is 20%. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected by the Editorial Board, depending on the extent and nature of the similarities identified.

La Escula Abdiku expects all authors to ensure that their manuscripts comply with international standards of academic integrity, particularly with regard to plagiarism, proper citation, and acknowledgment of sources.

Plagiarism occurs when an author uses ideas, information, data, or words from another source without providing appropriate acknowledgment or citation. Plagiarism is considered a serious academic violation, even when it occurs unintentionally.

When an author obtains specific information from a particular source, such as a name, date, place, statistical figure, research finding, or other detailed information, the source must be properly cited. Citation is not generally required for common knowledge or information that is widely established and readily available from multiple reliable sources.

When an author uses an idea developed by another author, the original source must be cited, even when the idea is subsequently developed, interpreted, or applied in a different context. This includes ideas concerning data interpretation, research methodology, theoretical perspectives, conclusions, or broader developments within a particular field of study.

When an author uses the exact words of another author, the source must be properly cited and the quoted text must be clearly identified as a quotation. Direct quotations should not be presented as the author's own words.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all ideas, information, data, and words obtained from other sources are properly acknowledged. Appropriate citation and referencing must be provided throughout the manuscript.

La Escula Abdiku reserves the right to withdraw acceptance or reject a manuscript if it is found to violate the journal's plagiarism and academic integrity policies, either before or after publication.

The Editorial Board may conduct additional plagiarism screening at any stage of the editorial and publication process if necessary.
